Sidney & Sons Waxed Canvas

A Sidney & Sons bag is constructed like an American tool bag with an emphasis on strength and hardiness. The leather is top grain and the body fabric is military spec duck canvas (that means it's water repellant). It has a detachable and adjustable dark brown shoulder strap that attaches with d rings at opposite handles. The handle is leather and measures 15" long which is firmly secured with 3 silver rivets. Bag fastens with 2 x 3/4" dark brown leather straps with silver buckles which are attached with 2 silver rivets on each strap. Inside of bag is reinforced at the bottom to add structure and has 6 silver stud feet to make sure you keep the bottom clean. All of the hardware is rust resistant and each piece is made by hand in the U.S.A. The bag officially measures 18" wide x 11" high x 6" deep and that means it's perfect for a weekender or gym bag.

Herschel Supply Co. Novel

Let's be honest here: Not everyone can or even want's to spend big bucks on a travel / gym bag. So what kind of options do you have on the table that aren't ugly, boring and well... just blah? Not many. But that is why I am extremely excited about the Herschel Supply Co. Novel duffel bag. This bag is made out of a canvas blended material, measures 11"h x 23"w x 44"l and has a shoe compartment on the exterior. I'm glade a company finally realized that we might not want to mix our clean clothing with our worn shoes. Now I do want to be totally upfront and let you know the "leather" pieces you see is faux leather (fake) - but what would you expect for a bag under $100?

Ernest Alexander Wax Rucksack
