The Old Pulteney 12 (as we will say for short) will catch your eye with its golden, with a slightly rosy cast, color. It smells of a wonderful mixture of Sherry, a dash of clover honey, a wisp of smoke, a pinch of peat and a sprinkle of salty sea mist – just to keep it easy. The first thing that strike you upon sipping the spirit is a smooth sweetness with a slightly cinnamon-slightly peppery spice. The next wave brought a buttery Sherry note with a bourbon chaser. On the back of your tongue you will experience a peat, smoke, brine and finally, just a little bitterness. Then when you take price into account, it looks and tastes even better!
