Rapper: J. Cole
Jermain Lamarr Cole was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1985. At the age of 8 he and his family relocated to Fayetteville, North Carolina where he would live until graduating from Terry Sanford High School in 2003. Craving a career in music he thought the best opportunity for exposure would be New York City – so he attended St. John’s University on an academic scholarship. After successfully majoring in communication and minoring in business Mr. Cole graduated magna cum laude. And that’s not even the interesting stuff.
The interesting stuff is that you might (or eventually will) know him as J. Cole. He is the first artist that was signed to Jay Z’s label Roc Nation. J. Cole has worked with countless stars such as Jay-Z, Wale, B.o.B, Kanye West, Rihanna and too many more to list. He is finally releasing his debut album on September 27 under the title “Cole World: The Sideline Story” and I suggest you check it out.
