Tired of following the crowed and don’t want your new tablet to be an iPad? Then maybe the Acer Iconia Tab A501 will tickle your fancy. The Acer Iconia Tab A501 will feature the Honeycomb 3.2 Android OS, a 1GHz nVidia Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of memory RAM and 16GB of internal storage capacity (and a SD slot for expansion). Everything is then topped off with a 5-megapixel camera located on the rear and an HD camera on the front (2 MP) which should make Skyping the long distance girlfriend extra fun.
Available to the public on September 18 the tablet will use HSPA+ through the AT&T network. If you purchase the Acer Iconia Tab A501 with a two you contract you can snag it for just $330 (or $480 without the commitment). AT&T will also offer a “pay as you go” plan that costs $15 for 250MB or $25 for 2GB of transfers.
